Perth Indie-Rockers Sophian Return With Euphoric New Bop, ‘Changing The Weather’

Boorloo/Perth-based rising stars Sophian have returned with a shimmering new slice of uplifting indie-rock dubbed ‘Changing The Weather’.

Produced by Dave Parkin, whose CV boasts big-hitter indie-rock acts the likes of Spacey JaneSly Withers and Old Mervs, the hypnotic bop marks the final single before the band’s upcoming debut EP Somewhere In Between hits us in the eardrums on Friday, 4th October.

Sophian – ‘Changing The Weather’

“‘Changing The Weather’ captures the anxiety and hope that come with personal transformation,” the band explains of the track in a press statement.

“The lyrics depict the journey of someone striving for self-improvement, inspired by a heartfelt conversation with their partner,” they continue. “The metaphor of changing weather reflects the inevitable yet sometimes turbulent path towards becoming a better version of oneself, learning to embrace both the beautiful and challenging aspects of change.”

Accompanying the release is a regional stripped-back tour that’ll see Sophian visit a handful of intimate venues across their native WA.
