Phoenix Central Park Season XIV: Gut Health, Mike, Grace Cummings + More

Phoenix Central Park have shared their final run of programming for 2024, running its 14th season from early October through to mid December. The boutique Sydney venue is once again offering a mix of indie, experiemental, jazz and rock artists from both Australia and overseas. The full program, as well as links to enter the ticket ballot, can be found below.

The 14th season commences with a performance from Melbourne post-punk sextet Gut Health. The band are set to release their debut album Stiletto in a matter of weeks on Friday, October 11th, and will be playing support shows for Hiatus Kaiyote on their upcoming Sydney and Melbourne gigs. It concludes with a performance from acclaimed Australian violinist Harry Ward, who will be returning to his homeland from his current base of Berlin.

Gut Health – ‘Stiletto’

International artists that will perform at the venue this season include Parquet Courts frontman A. Savage, New York rapper Mike and Brookyln indie-folk project Florist. In a first for Phoenix Central Park, the venue will also host a week-long residency this season from Melbourne duo HTRK. The electronic two-piece will play four consecutive shows from Monday, November 25th to Thursday, November 28th – their first Sydney shows since their June 2023 appearance at Vivid LIVE.

Season XIV also sees a notable change to the way shows run at the venue. In the past, there have generally been two 45-minute sessions a night, taking place at 6:30pm and 8:15pm respectively. For this season, however, all nights will feature only one performance, with doors at 6:30pm for a sharp 7pm start. Accessing tickets, however, remains the same – all free, and all via a ballot entry.
