Phoenix Central Park Share Line-Up For Season XII Concert Series

Phoenix Central Park have shared its full program for May and June 2024, making up the 12th season overall for the boutique Sydney venue. It will start on Tuesday May 7th with a performance from experimental Peruvian musician Ale Hop, and conclude seven weeks later with Australian Music Prize nominees Body Type. A statement from representatives for the venue noted that Season XII “continues Phoenix’s vital work presenting forward-thinking artists”. “[These artists] push the envelope of contemporary music,” it read.

“[There are] national debut performances from as far afield as Shanghai, Lima, London and Copenhagen, alongside a strong contingent of local virtuosity, heartfelt songwriting and creative thinking in music.”

Body Type – ‘Holding On’

As is custom with Phoenix Central Park events, the performers will play two 45-minute sets in one night: One at 6:30pm, and another at 8:15. Entry to either performance can only be accessed by being drawn in a ballot, which can be entered on the Phoenix Central Park website. Information on ballets can be found below.

Phoenix Central Park is currently completing a curated program away from the venue, titled Ten Thousand Suns. The program, taking place as part of the 24th Biennale of Sydney, is being held at White Bay Power Station in Rozelle. The heritage-listed space has been opened to the public especially for the program. 700 Feel will perform at the venue tonight (April 17), with performances from The Empty Threats, YL Hooi, Rory JS, Yamila and Waakya to come over the following weeks.
