PREMIERE: Ayla Cuts A Solitary Figure In ‘Waiting’ Video

Written by Mitch Feltscheer on June 24, 2015

Indie pop singer songwriter Ayla is following up on a stellar debut year in 2014, where her first single Wish I Was was one of the most played songs on triple j, with a new EP on its way and Music Feeds is thrilled to be premiering the first music video from it, for latest single Waiting.

Exploring themes of isolation and loneliness the latest track from the Sunshine Coast songstress is melancholic pop at its finest and the new video further opens up on the utterly human sensation of solitude, capturing the “social, physical and emotional separation we all feel sometimes.”

“The beginnings of the song Waiting came about when I was at an ice skating rink with a group of friends. It was crowded, yet I still felt alone,” Ayla says. “The opening line came into my head and the song developed from there.”

Check out the new vid below and make sure to catch Ayla at BIGSOUND music conference at the end of the year.
