Melbourne/Naarm disco, doo-wop and soul ensemble Sugar Fed Leopards will release their first and last single of 2023 on Wednesday 22nd November. The track, ‘Need You Now’, is the latest taste of the group’s forthcoming third album, which is due in 2024. You can stream it below ahead of its official release tomorrow.
‘Need You Now’ was born during a writing retreat in Harrietville, Victoria, a small town in the state’s north-east Alpine region. Despite the serene setting, ‘Need You Now’ is just as sleazy and suggestive as the material on SFLs’ most recent album, 2017’s Take You Out Tonight.
Sugar Fed Leopards – ‘Need You Now’
The band members have been hard at work on their long-awaited third LP. The album’s 2024 release will coincide with the group’s tenth anniversary. In the meantime, Sugar Fed Leopards will launch ‘Need You Now’ at Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal on Friday, 24th November and Shotkickers, Melbourne, on Saturday, 25th November.
