Sunny Luwe has officially announced her second album, Feeling Good. The follow-up to 2023’s Flowers In The Sky is set for independent release on Friday, October 10th, and will include her May 2025 single ‘Letter To The Future (I’m Sorry)’. To coincide with the album’s announcement, Luwe has shared its second single ‘Blue Skies’ alongside an accompanying music video – which is premiering today (July 24th) on Music Feeds, ahead of its official release tomorrow on Friday, July 25th.
In a statement, the Gold Coast singer-songwriter and proud Wayilwan woman noted that ‘Blue Skies’ was written last year as a part of the I Heart Songwriting Club. “I had just come off playing Bigsound and the Gold Coast Music Awards, and to be honest I was feeling pretty burnt out,” she said.
“I feel my burnout was because I was doing too much and focusing on the wrong things. I had started chasing external gratification from likes and streams as validation, rather than staying connected to why I create music in the first place. That is what ‘Blue Skies’ is all about: Letting go for the need for external validation and reconnecting with your inner child that just wants to have fun.”

Luwe went on to describe the music video for ‘Blue Skies’ as “fun, daggy and dorky”. “I wanted the clip to make people laugh, and also have some wholesomeness about it,” she said. “I feel we nailed the brief. The cast include my nanna and her dog Pepper, my Mum, my husband, our two dogs Huey and George and a heap of my gorgeous friends. It truly was a family affair. ‘Blue Skies’ is a testament to radical optimism, goofiness and proof that your Nanna should always be in your music video.”
You can hear ‘Blue Skies’ live at any one of the several shows Luwe has coming up next month across the Queensland and northern New South Wales regions. All shows are free entry. The full list of Luwe’s upcoming August tour dates can be found below.
