PREMIERE: Melbourne Punks Arabella And The Heist Get The Party Started In New ‘Ruckus’ Video

Arabella And The Heist have been a busy band of late, bringing their high-energy performances to stages up and down the east coast – including gigs with the likes of Mannequin Death Squad, Cong Josie & The Hell Racers and S.U.G.A.R. Earlier this month, the Melbourne four-piece returned with their first new music of 2025, the single ‘Ruckus’ – which sounds like a feisty blend of Moby‘s ‘Bodyrock’, Led Zeppelin‘s ‘Immigrant Song’ and the iconic You Wouldn’t Steal A Car PSA jingle.

Speaking to Australian Music Scene about the track, frontwoman Holly Arabella described it as “an unapologetic party track”. “We’re really excited about this sound,” she said. “It’s infectious, chaotic and fuses sounds we haven’t used before to create an energy that just feels so [like] us.” Today (June 18th), the band are officially premiering the song’s music video exclusively on Music Feeds.

The video, directed by Tori Styles and Robert Collins of Wild Rose Pictures, can be viewed below.

Arabella And The Heist – ‘Ruckus’

“We wanted to capture a moment reminiscent of those summer nights in the noughties,” said the band in a statement regarding their new music video. “[Those nights] where you were young, crazy and free. There’s nothing scripted about it… It’s messy, it’s fun, it’s us. Somewhere, sometime, in a backyard in the suburbs, there’s a ‘Ruckus’ happening – whether you like it or not.”

The band are hitting the road tomorrow (June 19th) to kick off a run of tour dates in support of the EP. They will also be opening for Frenzal Rhomb next month in Castlemaine on the punk veterans’ A Man’s (Still) Not A Camel tour at the city’s beloved Theatre Royal. All dates can be found below.
