Sydney outfit Wild Honey are giving Kubrick a run for his money with the official visuals for their new jam Spirit. What starts off as a cruisy trip down the coast with tha boys turns out to be anything but.
Filmed in South Australia’s Victor Harbor – the hometown of visual artist Mickey Mason, also the clip’s director – things take a somewhat spiritual turn for the lads on the adventure. While innocently sitting around the camp fire, shit gets weird. And quick.
Still, we here at Music Feeds love ourselves a thrilling, (somewhat bloody) horror story. As Wild Honey frontman Thom Moore says: “There’s something strangely appealing about that combination of laughter and screams”.
Spirit comes from good stock – previous singles form the band Eye To Eye and Pull It Together have received copious amounts of love from airways and headphones across the nation. currently on the road supporting The Lulu Raes, Wild Honey will be backing it up later in the year with a run of live shows in support of The Belligerents.
