UPDATE: Progfest Announces Full Lineup For 2018
ORIGINAL STORY: Prepare your necks, because Progfest is coming back bigger than ever in 2018. The riff-fuelled celebration of bands that push the musical boundaries is expanding beyond its Melbourne roots to take on Sydney and Brisbane next year, with a gargantuan lineup in toe.
Progfest 2018 will be headlined by Norweigan post-rockers Leprous, atop of an eclectic bill that also features Perth prog masters Voyager, Melbourne tribal space rockers AlithiA, experimental collective Orsome Welles, Adelaide prog metal favourites Dyssidia and Sydney instrumental post rockers Meniscus (in Sydney and Melbourne only), and that’s just the first announcement.
To boot, Adelaide and Perth prog fans will also be getting a slice of the action, bagging one sideshow from Leprous and AlithiA a piece.
Now in its 10th year, Progfest features progressive bands of all styles and genres, from prog, post, psychedelic, art rock, metal and everything in between, showcasing bands that think for themselves rather than following the latest trends.
It’s all going down in January of next year.
