Progfest Announces Three International Headline Acts For 2019

Australia’s progressive music festival Progfest has announced three international headline acts for its 2019 events in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The annual event will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2019, and it’s bringing German post-metal outfit The Ocean, UK djent-groove metal act Monuments and Indian prog rockers Skyharbor down under in January to share headlining duties across all three festival dates.

There are still more lineup announcements to come, and organisers say they’ll again be hosting “some of Australia’s best homegrown progressive music talent”.

Progfest began in 2008, and has since hosted performances from the likes of Ne Obliviscaris, Caligula’s Horse, sleepmakeswaves and Twelve Foot Ninja. The festival’s 2018 lineup featured Norweigan post-rockers Leprous, Perth band Voyager, Melbourne’s AlithiA and more.
