New Queens Of The Stone Age Record To Feature Billy Gibbons, Dave Grohl

There’s a new Queens Of The Stone Age record on the way, and while details are relatively scant at this point, we know that both frequent collaborator Dave Grohl and ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons have been lending a hand.

As Eonmusic reports, Gibbons detailed the collab after he was asked about his memories of the late Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrel of Pantera.

“Just one month ago I was making a record with Queens Of The Stone Age”, said Gibbons. “Dave Grohl was also taking part and he decided to have a big barbecue. So there was this interesting gathering. So, we spent one hour telling stories, great stories, remembering these lovely guys.”

It’ll be Grohl’s first appearance on a Queens Of The Stone Age album since …Like Clockwork in 2013.

Gibbons also let slip regarding a potentially spooky release date for the album, saying “He’s completed it. I think that he said he wants to put it out Halloween. It’ll be good.”

The forthcoming album will be the first QOTSA record since 2017’s Villains.
