Queens Of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails Co-Headline Australian Tour Teased

UPDATE: The QOTSA/NIN Australian tour has officially been announced – full details here!

Queens Of The Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails have teased that they will soon be announcing an Australian tour, with both QOTSA and NIN tweeting out pics that suggest that a co headlining Down Under appearance was on the cards. We didn’t believe it either, but it happened.

Trent Reznor recently revealed that Nine Inch Nails were making plans to tour Down Under after troubles getting on the Soundwave 2014 bill, explaining that the festival ‘wasn’t the right vibe’.

Josh Homme also recently expressed confidence in 2014 being the year for a QOTSA return, suggesting a ballpark time of autumn, which may or may not still be relevant.

At this point in time, its difficult to be more specific as per the dates other than saying ‘2014’, given that both bands have mentioned that next year would be the year of their return.

Both bands have recently released hugely anticipated albums, NIN’s Hesitation Marks and QOTSA’s …Like Clockwork, meaning that an Australian tour for each was bound to happen eventually. Just, well, we never expected it to be together.

While we don’t have the official dates, please feel free to marvel at the below pictures. Drool, if you must. We’ll understand.
