Rage Against The Machine’s Tim Commerford Says The Band Could Reunite

Rage Against The Machine bass-slinger Tim Commerford reckons the band might play together again.

The rock-rap lords haven’t shared the stage since their 2011 appearance at the LA Rising festival, which they’ve cagily stated may have been their final show.

But in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Commerford refused to acknowledge that Rage were done and dusted.

“We are still a band, and we still might play again,” he said. “We don’t have anything scheduled right now, but you never know what the future will bring.”

He also revealed plans to get former RATM bandmate Zack de la Rocha involved with his latest project, Wakrat.

“We just played our first show with Wakrat and Zack and [guitarist] Tom [Morello] were there,” he revealed.

“Zack is my biggest fan and supporter right now. What I’m doing musically is his shit and what he’s an expert on. He and I talked for two hours after the show. He loves what I’m doing. I asked him to play a guitar solo for this track I’m working on and he was like, ‘Oh, I’m in’.”

Don’t hope to catch them on the bill for Soundwave 2016 though. Festival boss AJ Maddah has categorically ruled them out.

Meanwhile, in the same interview, Commerford also apologised for the existence of Limp Bizkit, telling Rolling Stone: “I feel really bad that [RATM] inspired such bullshit.”
