Mario Hamilton, who rapped under the name Slim Dunkin, was shot in a recording studio yesterday while preparing to shoot a videoclip. Rolling Stone reported that he was shot in the chest after an argument broke out with an unidentified man. Police have not yet identified the shooter and state that there were up to 20 people were in the studio at the time of the shooting.
Atlanta police told Associated Press:
Before the video shoot took place, it appears the victim and suspect got involved in a verbal altercation. We don’t know what that altercation was about…Right now we’re just trying to identify who may have seen what, really just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. It seems everybody witnessed something very different. We’re just trying to go back and make sense of everything.
Dunkin was a member of Waka Flocka Flame’s Brick Squad 1017 crew. He also released his own Menace II Society tape earlier this year as well.
