Real Estate Announce 2015 Australian Tour

American indie dream popsters and highly anticipated return visitors, Real Estate are finally coming back to Australia in February 2015 for a three-date east coast tour, and it’s likely to be the only opportunity you’ll have to see them here for quite some time.

Still touring their stellar third album Atlas, released earlier this year, the band will play one show in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane next year, and we’re being warned there will be no festival appearances to follow. The band were last here for Laneway in 2013, which followed a well-received run of headline shows in 2012.

Atlas was dubbed “the first important record of 2014” by New York Times Magazine and has wowed critics across globe, receiving high praise from Pitchfork, NME, and Rolling Stone. Frontman Martin Courtney said Atlas is a representation of Real Estate’s evolution as a live band.

“We wanted to make a cleaner, more well-rehearsed record that reflected the way we’ve come together as a live band over the last few years,” explained Courtney at the time.

You’ll also get to see Melbourne’s Dick Diver as support in the Victorian capital, with guests in Brisbane and Sydney still to be announced. Full tour details below.

UPDATE 28/10/14: Real Estate have added a new show at Melbourne’s Howler to their February tourafter their first at the Corner Hotel sold out. They’ve also added The Stevens to their Corner Hotel and Sydney shows as support, while Day Ravies will appear in Sydney only and Blank Realm in Melbourne only. Details below.
