Richie Sambora and Orianthi have been forced to pull the plug on the Perth leg of their forthcoming Australian tour.
The guitar power-duo, who’ve dubbed themselves RSO, were scheduled to kick off the tour at the WA capital’s Metro City venue this Friday 23rd September, but have been force to axe the date after their arrival Down Under was delayed.
According to a press release: “Their new album with producer Bob Rock is at a critical stage and they have had to delay their arrival into Australia” to finish it.
Richie and Orianthi have issued an apology to Perth fans and promised to return ASAP after their new album is released.
A joint statement from the pair reads:
“We are devastated to have to cancel our Perth performance, although we are working on something very special in the studio and can’t wait for you to hear it. We look forward to performing it live when we come back to Australia.”
It means that all other scheduled dates on the pair’s joint tour – including performances in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and as part of the NRL Grand Final Pre-Game Entertainment – will still go ahead as planned.
Meanwhile, Perth ticket holders will be automatically refunded if they bought tickets via credit card, directly by point of purchase – either via Ticketek, Oztix or MegaTix.
