Rise Against Announce 2024 Australian Headline Shows

Rise Against are heading to Australia in February 2024 to support Blink-182 on their extensive arena tour. The Chicago punk rock outfit will play a couple of exclusive headline shows, one apiece in Melbourne and Sydney. The band, led by founding vocalist Tim McIlrath, are set to perform at Forum Melbourne on Sunday, 4th February and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday, 5th February.

Promoters Frontier Touring have emphasised that these will be Rise Against’s only Australian headline shows this summer. However, they’ll make it to Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane as part of the blink-182 tour. Find all the details of Rise Against’s Australian headline shows below.

Rise Against – ‘Pain Mgmt’

Rise Against have visited Australia more than half a dozen times over the last two decades. Their most recent visit was for the 2019 Download festival, which held events in Sydney and Melbourne in March of that year. Since that time, McIlrath and co. released their ninth album, 2021’s Nowhere Generation. The EP, Nowhere Generation II, followed in June 2022.

Between 2004 and 2011, Rise Against achieved ARIA gold accreditation with four successive albums. Two of these records, 2006’s The Sufferer & the Witness and 2008’s Appeal to Reason, were among the most successful punk rock albums of the era.
