Having marked 2012 as its very successful inauguration, Riverboats Music Festival has announced its 2013 return, bringing with it some of the most respected and habitually delightful names in folk talent.
Taking place over February along the picturesque Echuca-Moama in regional Victoria and southern New South Wales, Riverboats gives a far more tranquil festival solution, offering a very intimate 2-day event, with enough room to sprawl out over your picnic blanket after a no moshing, no crowd surfing, and an ear-plug free day of taking in all the festival’s offerings around the natural amphitheatre on the banks of the Murray River.
Performing at the single-staged event will be one of Australia’s most popular contemporary singer/songwriters, fresh from a recent stint in LA, Pete Murray, as well as Claire Bowditch who recently spoke and performed at BIGSOUND. Archie Roach and Tim Rogers are capping off the headliners.
Also performing over the three days will be Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows; Mia Dyson, celebrating the release of her third album The Moment; as well as current rising international star Gossling.
For their second year, organisers have arranged a 2-hour cruise onboard the iconic paddle steamer Pevensey as well as the Official Festival Breakfast kicking off at the Beechworth Bakery Sunday, 17 February from 9.00am – 11.00am. The location is also prime for accommodation with plenty of rooms available within walking distance from the area.
Ticketing info and times are up on the Official Website.
