Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant says he would like to collaborate with Jack White, telling fans during a Facebook Q&A to promote new album Lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar that he already has a track in mind that the two could work on and that he’ll be in Nashville, the home of White’s famous Third Man Records studio, next week.

After a fan asked the legendary rocker if he would ever consider working with White at Third Man Records on a “single/album/anything”, Plant gushed over the former White Stripes member. “I love Jack White’s buccaneer spirit, and the way he dodges through the musical horizons. I’d be happy to make a single with him,” said Plant.

Plant revealed he’d be stopping by Nashville next week and could squeeze in a quick recording session between appointments with Alison Krauss and Patty Griffin. “I’d like to do a track called Love Me, which was originally recorded by The Phantom,” Plant wrote. “In fact, I’m going to Nashville on Sunday and can do it on Monday morning! I’ve got lunch with Alison Krauss at 2pm and cocktails with Patty Griffin at 8pm.”

Though Plant is clearly excited about the potential collaboration, the singer may have to wait before he can get face-to-face with White. According to the latter’s tour itinerary, he’ll be spending the top of next week performing at Columbia, Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion and Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio.

However, both artists are set to play shows in Leeds on 17th November, which could set the stage for a potential collab. White is a noted Led Zeppelin fan, having recently covered the band’s songs on his tour in support of new solo album, Lazaretto.
