Roger Waters Announces First Solo Album In 25 Years

Pink Floyd‘s Roger Waters has announced his first solo album in 25 years Is This the Life We Really Want?

He’s dropped a trailer for the album with a clip of new music, although he’s yet to give us a full song from the record.

The record was descirbed by Waters in an interview with Rolling Stone as, “part magic carpet ride, part political rant, part anguish.”

It’s also been produced by Radiohead’s go-to producer Nigel Godrich, with the pair working on the record between LA and London.

Interestingly, Water admitted that he’s never heard any of the records Godrich produced for Radiohead which is every LP since 1997’s OK Computer.

There’s still no release date for the record just yet but this trailer suggests that it can’t be far off.

His last solo album Amused to Death was released in 1992. Since then, he’s released sporadic tracks and soundtracked an opera Ça Ira.
