Rolling Stones May Record New Album This Year

In an interview with the Mirror, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has revealed the possibility of the band recording some new material this year.

In the interview, Wood mentioned that he and his bandmates would be ‘throwing some ideas around’. The Rolling Stones, who played their first show in London on July 12th 1962, were planning a world tour in 2012 to commemorate the achievement. However, health concerns within the band have delayed this until 2013, leaving ample time for them to get back in the studio to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

There had been rumours that the band would be shopping for Australian venues as part of the 2012 anniversary tour. Let’s hope they make it in 2013.
