Romanthony, the voice behind Daft Punk‘s hits One More Time and Too Long, and influential house producer and artist in his own right, passed away on 7th May in his home in Austin, Texas.
Rumours of Romanthony’s death had been making their way through social media, with musicians like MikeQ and vocalist Daone Remmidy, aka Eve Angel, expressing their condolences on Facebook and Twitter. 5 Magazine have now sadly confirmed that the rumour is true, with Romanthony’s sister Mellony Moore saying “Thank u for your calls and prayers my brother was a musical genius” on her Facebook account.
Romanthony, real name Anthony Moore, most recently released a single called The Wanderer via Dim Mak Records but was best known for his 2 vocal appearances on Daft Punk’s Discovery album. A memorial service for the musician is pending. Music Feeds sends our condolences to Romanthony’s family, friends and fans.
