Sandtunes is set to make its debut on the Gold Coast this year, but they’ve just made a whole lot of important announcements that current ticket holders and people contemplating going should pay attention to.
First off – it’ll no longer be set on Coolangatta Beach, instead being hosted at GC’s iconic Metricon Stadium. The festival claims this is in response to outcry from local residents, businesses and professional dickhead Alan Jones.
Secondly, the tickets have reduced in price significantly – with single day tickets now being available from $129. On top of that, punters can also enter into a payment plan to pay off the tickets gradually.
The festival, which is also now 15+ as opposed to 18+, will go down across two days from 30th November – 1st December. It is being headlined by Logic and Travis Scott, and acts like Carly Rae Jepsen, Juice WRLD, Chvrches, Cub Sport, Tkay Maidza, Alice Ivy, KWAME, Kaiit and more will be joining them.
You can check out the festival’s full statement on all these changes below. They have said that existing ticket holders will be contacted, but they will automatically be upgraded to Pit Zone tickets – which is essentially this festival’s VIP area.
