Yep, Splendour In The Grass 2019 Is Already Sold Out

Thanks for playing, but Splendour In The Grass 2019 has already SOLD THE FARK OUT.

True to form, the annual Byron Bay bash tapped out of tickets just hours after they went on sale today, despite Splendour upping its capacity by 7,500 this year thanks to a $42 million redevelopment to the festival site.

Then again, with a truly monster lineup featuring the likes of Tame ImpalaChildish GambinoChance The Rapper, SZAFoalsJames Blake, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Santigold, FIDLAR, The Streets, POND and more, we can’t exactly say we’re that surprised.

In a statement today, Splendour bosses Jessica Ducrou and Paul Pittico said: “We’re absolutely thrilled (read relieved) that with the recent approval of North Byron Parklands, this year we’ve been able to open our event up to more music and arts lovers than ever before. Can’t wait to see you all in July!”

For those snoozers who lost out on tickets to this year’s extravaganza, you’ll get a second chance when the Official Splendour Resale facility is fired up soonly (more info via Moshtix here). Otherwise there’s always this:

PS as always we’re being warned “not purchase tickets from Viagogo, Gumtree or unauthorised ticket resellers”.

“Splendour tickets include the name and date of birth of the ticketholder,” organisers remind us. “This is checked against your ID at the festival gates. There is NO facility in place that allows a ticket holder to change the name and date of birth on a ticket and transfer it to another person.”

GOT IT?
