UPDATE: Devil You Know on second Soundwave 2014 lineup – full details here!

Though details of the second lineup announcement have been kept under tight wraps, some of the acts expected to appear on the bill have been revealed in the months since the first announcement, which delivered Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains, and Placebo just to name a few.

Earlier today it was revealed that US punk band Zebrahead will be part of the second announcement, after Maddah let the news slip whilst answering a Twitter follower question regarding a Bowling For Soup Sidewave. The two bands are now expected to tour together.

Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison recently hinted at the possibility of a Soundwave appearance from his new band, Scar The Martyr, saying “We’re seeing what’s happening around [February]. We’re seeing what’s up. It’s nothing I can announce yet.”

The Porkers leaked their place on the roster before the first announcement was made, with reports later surfacing that the band had been axed. The “miscommunication” was later smoothed-out, with the band saying “our relationship is good, and it’s up to AJ to make any official announcements.”

Melbourne ska punk ensemble The Bennies likewise leaked before the announcement of the first lineup. The group are set to appear on the Melbourne leg of the tour only. Maddah also recently revealed that industrial band Device will not be on the lineup, nor any Max Cavalera projects.

Likewise no appearances from Evanescence, Say Anything, or Stonefield are expected. According to Maddah’s recent Sidewave updates, an A7X sideshow is a possibility, while a Testament Sidewave looks likely.

There will be a Letlive sideshow in Brisbane to make up for an earlier cancellation, though Korn fans will not be receiving any sideshow appearances from the band. Maddah has stated that there will be “a metal sideshow at The Capitol and a hardcore sideshow at Amplifier.”

It was also recently revealed to Triple M that Alice In Chains are likely to do sideshows, with guitarist Jerry Cantrell saying, “I think we’re playing a couple of shows on our own.”
