‘Shannon Noll For Groovin The Moo 2016’ Petition Exists, Is Beautiful

UPDATE 28/01/16: The Groovin The Moo 2016 lineup is here!

UPDATE 28/01/16, 9.55am: Shannon Noll wasn’t named on today’s Groovin The Moo 2016 lineup announcement and social media is ropeable.

Australian Idol runner-up and prime meme material Shannon Neil Noll has inspired the creation of a petition calling for him to perform at the 2016 edition of regional festival Groovin The Moo, and it’s a glorious, glorious thing.

Created by Noll’s fellow Aussie bloke Ethan Adams-Norris earlier this week, the Change.org petition claims the 2003 season of Aussie Idol was “a total rip off”.

“Mr Noll should of won, and it’s a national tragedy that he didn’t,” says Adams-Norris. “I think it’s time for his comeback and what better time to start then at Groovin the Moo 2016.”

The launch of the #ShannonNollforGTM2016 petition has already inspired its own Facebook page and some pretty great reactions, including…

Adams-Norris' #ShannonNollforGTM2016 petition has scored over 1,500 signatures in the last two days, and we reckon there's a lot more where that came from. Noll, who released his latest album back in 2011, continues to inspire memes-aplenty while also inspiring thousands of Facebook users to click 'Going' to his various real (and fake) pub shows and appearances. Groovin The Moo will make its way through areas like Maitland, Oakbank, Bendigo, Townsville and Bunbury across April and May. The festival's lineup is expected to arrive on official lineup to drop on Thursday, 28th January. Until then, #ShannonNollforGTM2016. Watch: Shannon Noll - What About Me https://youtu.be/kqyIwZpr5y0
