Short Stack Announce 2025 Australian Tour

Short Stack have announced a national headlining tour of Australia, their first in over three years, for June 2025. The five-date capital city run will belatedly celebrate the 15-year anniversary of their debut album, 2009’s Stack Is The New Black, with the album being performed in its entirety every night. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.

Stack Is The New Black was originally released in August of 2009. It topped the ARIA albums chart upon release, and was later certified Gold in Australia. The album was flanked by four singles: ‘Shimmy A Go Go’ in 2008, ‘Princess’ in February 2009, ‘Sway Sway Baby!’ in July 2009 and ‘Ladies & Gentlemen’ in October 2009.

The Budgewoi pop-punk trio, who initially found fame on MySpace, released a second album entitled This Is Bat Country before disbanding in 2012. They then reformed in 2014 and released their third album, Homecoming, the following year – splitting again by the end of 2015. They ultimately reconvened in February of 2020; their immediate tour plans, however, were iced only a matter of weeks later due to the emergence of COVID-19.

The band ultimately returned to the road for their delayed reunion tour in 2021, and released their fourth album Maybe There’s No Heaven in 2022. The band were last seen at the end of 2023, where they performed as part of that year’s Good Things festival.
