In an indie-saturated scene, SIERRA FIN are carving a niche with their blend of orchestral, rock and electronic experimentation.
The music, wrapped around evocative lyrics create something altogether unique.
SIERRA FINs debut EP ‘Shake Stare Sleep’ is in stores now with distribution set up with MGM. The five track EP explores themes of escapism, love, dreams and dying, they have interweaved melodies into a multi-layered, redefined wall of sound.
The EP was mainly recorded at Beaucoup Disco by the band, with additional engineering and recording at Big Jesus Burger studios in Surry Hills with Jorden Brebach (The Church, Dappled Cities, Wicked Beat Sound System)
Recent highlights for SIERRA FIN have included support slots with The Fauves, Final Fantasy (Owen Pallett), The Fumes, Steve Kilbey (The Church), Epicure and in addition, high rotation on Sydney’s independent radio station FBI has ensured the band are playing to ever increasing crowds at their live shows.
2009 will see SIERRA FIN heavily promote ‘Shake Stare Sleep’ with a tour along the East coast in April before heading back to the studio to record their debut full length album.
