Skrillex Sued Over Stage Dive After Crowd Member Suffers Stroke

Dubstep superstar Skrillex — real name Sonny John Moore — is being sued by Jennifer Fraissl, a fan who attended a pre-Grammy party at The Belasco in Los Angeles in February 2012 featuring the famous DJ. Fraissl is alleging that Moore’s stage diving antics caused her to have a stroke.

As TMZ reports, Fraissl alleges that Moore performed a flying leap into the crowd from his DJ table on the stage several feet above the crowd and landed directly on top of her. Fraissl claims she received several injuries as a result of the manoeuvre and later suffered a stroke as a direct result of the incident.

She is now suing both Skrillex, who often performs stage diving manoeuvres during shows, and the Belasco nightclub for unspecified damages, to compensate for medical expenses, loss of income, and more. A video has surfaced online reported to be of the jump which injured Ms Fraissl.

It is unclear if the video does indeed depict the jump cited in Fraissl’s case, though it fits the description nearly exactly. The clip depicts Moore beckoning the crowd forward, which Fraissl claims made it impossible for her to leave or protect herself. Watch the footage below.
