Sydney post-punk rockers sleepmakeswaves are calling on their fans to help them crowdfund their third album.
The band wrapped up a huge Australian tour earlier this year, and now they’re keen to get back in the studio to record the follow-up to their 2014 ARIA-nominated record Love Of Cartography.
They took to social media to announced that fans can pre-order the album by pledging some cash towards its production, and also used the post to reveal that the songs for the record are almost done.
“This music is some of the heaviest and most complex we’ve ever created,” said sleepmakeswaves. “It feels like the last 12 months have been leading up to today, and we’re incredibly excited/nervous/eager about recording this material.”
There are also a bunch of special rewards like vinyl packs, special merch packs, Skype sessions with the band and even a jam session with the band available depending on how much you pledge.
For the really hardcore fans, you can even get sleepmakeswaves to perform at your house if you pledge $5k.
They’re also hoping to get back on the road for Aussie and overseas tours in 2017. You can pledge to the campaign here, and read the full post by the band below.
