So Pop 2020, Ft. The Pussycat Dolls, Steps, Smash Mouth & More, Is Cancelled

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, 2020’s hyped pop banger-thon festival So Pop has been officially cancelled.

“Due to policies and measures put in place by the Australian Government regarding COVID-19, the promoters of the ultimate pop concert deem it infeasible for the show to go on,” reads a statement. The festival was due to take place this April and May.

“The procedures in play, with government legislation banning indoor gatherings of over 100 people in Australia as well as 14-day self-isolation for the arrival of international travellers, have led to the heartbreaking conclusion that So Pop 2020 will not proceed as planned.”

The festival was due to play host to the likes of a newly-reunited Pussycat Dolls, Steps, Smash Mouth, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jesse McCartney & more.
