Noel Gallagher has confused the internet (and his own brother) by debuting a new instrumental addition to his band: scissors.
Performing with his band High Flying Birds on Later… With Jools Holland, Gallagher debuted a new song called ‘She Taught Me How to Fly’, which featured one of his bandmates playing multiple pairs of scissors as an instrument.
It’s definitely weird, but it’s better than playing a smoke detector, I guess…
The whole performance (which you can watch below) confused fans around the world, with Liam Gallagher taking to Twitter to poke fun at his brother’s bold move:
Im afraid not but I do have somebody sharpening a pencil it sounds mega with a bit of reverb on it proper out there gear

Meanwhile, some fans thought the use of scissors might have been a cheeky stunt of its own:

Gallagher and his band also performed their song ‘Holy Mountain’ on Later…, taken from their upcoming album Who Built The Moon?, but unfortunately no scissors were involved in that performance.
That said, fans have been inspired. Anyway… here’s ‘Wonderwall’ on scissors.
