In the longest ever game of disappointment, Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has now said that, despite the rumours perpetuated by his own bandmates, the new album from the band will not be out in April.
This rumour started last week when the band’s drummer James Carey said that the plan was to have the album out in Mid-April. Around the same time, a teaser for something (???) was released on the band’s website.
On top of that, an associate of the band took to Instagram to give his thoughts on the completed Tool album he’d reportedly just listened to.
Because nothing good ever happens in this world anymore, Keenan has shot down those rumours on Twitter. A fan asked him directly whether the rumours were true to which Keenan promptly replied, “No.”
No.

This just the latest blow to Tool fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the follow up to 2006’s 10,000 days for going on 13 years now. However, Keenan did state back in September that we will have new music in 2019 so our fingers are remaining crossed.
