Southbound 2016 Lineup Expands

Three new acts have been added to lineup for Southbound 2016.

19 year-old Irish prodigy Soak, Aussie singer-songwriter Jarryd James and Swedish rapper Elliphant have all thrown their hats in the ring, joining party pals Disclosure, Bloc Party, Foals, Courtney Barnett, Gary Clark Jr, ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic and loads more on next year’s bill.

The now three-day WA festival, which runs from January 8th-10th at Busselton’s Sir Steward Bovell Park, kicks off with the opening party Friday Night Fever, headlined by Art Vs Science, which is this year packing the fancy dress theme of “Disco Inferno”.

A handful of new comedy acts have also been added to the fold for the 2016 festival proper, including Nazeem Hussain, Randy, Adam Rozenbach, Nick Cody, Becky Lucas and Tien Tran.

And there’s more musical acts to come as well, with the Coconut Club line-up and more local artists still to be announced.

Southbound camping is free and once again punters will be able to pitch their tents next to their cars.

UPDATE 15/09/15: Fremantle indie pop outfit San Cisco and Perth’s Ta-ku have both now joined the 2016 lineup.
