Southbound Festival’s 2016 Lineup Expands Again With Final Round Of Artists

The Southbound 2016 lineup just keeps chucking a Violet Beauregarde and ballooning the fark out.

We’ve just been hit with the final round of lineup additions for this year’s bill, which is now full right to the bursting point.

The lucky last lineup add-ons are all local legends, and include Melbourne multi-instrumentalist Olympia, Perth psychedelic hip-hopper Pow! Negro, special triple j DJ guests Alex Dyson and Dom Alessio, plus Benson, Boston Switch, Micah, Mishtee and Verge Collection.

They join a totally Wonkered bill that also features the likes of Sticky Fingers, Phantogram, Hot Chip (DJs), Catfish And The Bottlemen, Peaches, Tash Sultana, Tkay Maidza, Hermitude, newly announced triple J Unearthed winners The Money Tree and about three small festivals’ worth of others.

But this ain’t no boutique bushwhack, this is Southbound. A three-day megafest packed with comedy, circus and cabaret acts plus — yep — it’s biggest music lineup ever.

Southbound 2016 is going down during slightly different dates this year, with the festival moving from post-NYE to before Christmas.
