Spin Perth Indie Rockers’ Sophian’s Debut EP ‘Somewhere In Between’

Boorloo/Perth-based indie-rock band Sophian have just revealed their debut EP. Dubbed Somewhere In Between, the euphoric six-tracker was produced by Spacey Jane and Sly Withers collaborator Dave Parkin).

Delving into themes of love, reflection and nostalgia, the LP was inspired by lead vocalist Sophian Manik’s unique childhood.

Sophian – Somewhere In Between

Somewhere In Between reflects on my experiences growing up in the Maldives with a Swiss mother and later moving to Australia, capturing the essence of navigating identity and embracing change,” the artist explains. “The EP delves into struggles of feeling inadequate, the transformative power of personal growth and the resilience needed to embrace change at any age.”

“It’s about the quest for self-discovery and the realisation that it’s never too late to rewrite one’s story,” Manik continues. “It poignantly portrays the experience of living between worlds, finding meaning in the present while drawing wisdom from the past. I hope the EP can resonate with anyone who has felt caught between different identities or life stages, offering a reminder that we are all, in some way, somewhere in between.”

Sophian will celebrate the release with an extensive East Coast tour, hitting nine stages across both regional and metropolitan areas.
