It’s really no surprise that Splendour In The Grass 2013 sold out in just over an hour after tickets went up for grabs, what with the massive lineup announcement last week. All 3-day, single day and camping tickets for SITG 2013 have sold out but apparently there is still some Country Club Ticket at $699 +BF available via Moshtix
No word yet on whether Splendour will offer a resale allocation of tickets like last year. The festival’s official site states that the resale or reissue ticket services could be offered via Moshtix but we’ll have to wait and see if Splendour decides to resurrect the scheme for 2013.
At quick search for Splendour In The Grass 2013 tickets on eBay came up empty but all manner of tickets for SITG 2013 have already began to appear on Gumtree.
Perhaps even less surprising than Splendour selling out is people announcing their frustration at missing out on tickets. Those who were unlucky have taken aim at ticket outlet Moshtix for delayed payment processes and sluggish service that left many a would-be Splendour attendees without a ticket.
Moshtix posted a statement on Facebook regarding delays in the Green Room and where people can go for payment support:
“Splendour in the Grass 2013 has received a MASSIVE level of interest this year! Unfortunately not everyone was able to get tickets.
As a result of tickets being so popular some of you may have experienced long waits or issues in the Green Room. This was due to the huge demand for tickets and the rate that tickets were selling.
If you have any payment support related questions, please contact [email protected] or call 1300 438 849.
There are still a limited number of 3 day Country Club tickets available.
For everyone who was able to get tickets this year, we look forward to seeing you at North Byron Parklands for Splendour in the Grass 2013!”
You’d have thought moshtix would’ve learnt its lesson from the other trillion times this has happened. #splendour2013
