Spotify Australia Is Bringing Back Front Left Live With Tove Lo, Tones And I And More

Spotify’s Front Left Live event, based on their popular playlist of the same name, is returning for a second year this October.

This year the show is coming to Melbourne, with it all going down at the Forum on Wednesday, 9th October, and featuring a bevy of modern pop’s genre-defiant names both locally and internationally.

Swedish sensation Tove Lo is set to headline the show, performing alongside rapidly rising local talent Tones And I, Norway’s girl in red, Benee and Electric Fields. Plus, there’s a special international guest yet to be announced.

It’s the only live Australian performance for Tove Lo, best known for hits like ‘Habits’ and ‘Talking Body’. The singer’s fourth studio album, Sunshine Kitty, is due out next month.

Last year’s Front Left Live event took place in Sydney and featured US artist King Princess along with Cosmo’s Midnight, Baker Boy, Hatchie and more.

“We were thrilled with the response to Front Left Live last year. The goal was to build a stronger Spotify playlist brand, then take it to the stage through a live event; our first major live public event in this region and the first time bringing a playlist brand to life,” says Alice Sbrugnera, Head of Music Culture and Editorial at Spotify Australia and NZ.

“In doing so we were able to increase the listenership of the Front Left playlist and help over 500,000 fans discover more of the best and most diverse new music than ever before.”

Tickets go on sale for Front Left Live this Friday, 9th August, but if you’re a Spotify Premium subscriber you can score tickets right now. Head here to secure your spot.
