The federal government has made it very clear that, for most of us, international travel without having to quarantine is a long way away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t gawk at international festival lineups – like Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival.
The headliners for this now two weekend 2022 event are colossal. We’re talking Massive Attack, Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, Beck, Interpol, The National, Jorja Smith, Megan Thee Stallion, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and Yeah Yeah Yeahs just to name a few.
In addition, planned Splendour 2021 headliners Tyler The Creator, Gorillaz and The Strokes will also be headlining Primavera Sound 2022.
As was announced at the end of the festival’s 2019 event, Pavement would be reuniting for the next Primavera Sound. Of course, 2020 and 2021 were scrapped so they’ll be gracing the 2022 event.
Finally, the headliner that’s causing the most noise is Lorde. We know new music from Lorde is somewhere on the horizon, but her first festival booking since 2018 is a very positive sign we’ll be getting it sooner rather than later.
And the internet is losing it, of course.

Need we remind that those…are just the headliners!
Primavera Sound 2022 will be taking place across two weekend at Barcelona’s Parc Del Forum. Not that it’s likely any of us will be attending, given the Australian government’s vaccine rollout, but it’s nice to join in on the fun of marvelling at this stellar lineup.
