The latest cab off the rank for NPR’s Tiny Desk At Home series is Sting. He delivered a stirring performance from his New York City lounge room with Shirazee helping out on vocals.
Shirazee is a Beninese singer who adapted Sting’s ‘Englishman in New York’ during the pandemic. He recreated the song as ‘African in New York’ and Sting loved it so much he invited Shirazee along for the performance.
We’re lucky to get an acoustic rendition of ‘If I Ever Lose My Faith in You’.
He then performs ‘Sister Moon’ as well, taken from his 1987 album, Nothing Like the Sun.
You can catch the performance in full below.
No stranger to a Tiny Desk Concert, the Police frontman took Shaggy along for his 2019 performance.
Sting shared his new album Duets last week.
