The Sugababes have announced their return to Australia in the first week of 2025, undertaking a whirlwind 72-hour east-coast tour following their appearance at new-year’s festival Beyond The Valley. The full list of dates and venues, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.
The reunited UK pop trio were last in Australia in February 2023, playing a series of shows that marked their first-ever headliners after last performing nationally as part of the 2002 Rumba Festival. In a review of the trio’s show at the Enmore Theatre, which coincided with that year’s Mardi Gras, Music Feeds praised it as “a fun, lively and affirming performance”.
Sugababes – ‘Overload’
“For all their individual strengths… the final stretch of hits demonstrates what a force the Sugababes are as a collective,” it read. “‘Overload’ has the crowd enraptured, with extra choruses thrown in to squeeze as much life out of the group’s debut single as possible. ‘Round Round’ gets floorboards creaking as thousands bounce in time with the beat.”
Since they were last in Australia, the Sugababes have released a new single entitled ‘When The Rain Comes’ and collaborated with several electronic acts for remixes and interpolations of some of their biggest hits. Joy (Anonymous) released ‘JOY (Push The Button)’ in December 2023, while two more remixes followed in August 2024. Two Shell released ‘Round’, based on the group’s ‘Round Round’, while A Little Sound released ‘Situation’ – a spin on their debut single ‘Overload’.
