Suicide Silence Confirm A New Vocalist

Suicide Silence have confirmed today that they will be continuing on as a band, recruiting a new vocalist. The death metal group was all but done after vocalist Mitch Lucker died following a motorbike crash. A brief video posted on YouTube reveals they aren’t done yet.

The video contains just over a minute of audio from fan-favourite You Only Live Once, with one difference – those aren’t Luckers growls. It hasn’t yet been confirmed just who these mean growls belong to, but popular opinion seems to be All Shall Perish‘ vocalist Hernan “Eddie” Hermida.

According to Lambgoat, various sources have confirmed Hermida’s involvement, but this was yet to be confirmed at the time of publication.

Previously, it was believed that Suffokate vocalist Ricky Hoover would rise to the challenge, but word is this didn’t work out. Hoover himself took to Twitter to denounce any talk that he would be replacing Lucker.

The remaining Suicide Silence members are actively campaigning for fans to donate to the Kenadee Lucker Education Fund which will provide funding for Lucker’s young daughter’s education.

Following his death, Lucker’s wife Jolie Carmadella informed friends, family and fans that the vocalist had been an alcoholic, and had been fighting with his addiction for some time.
