Superchunk Announce 2024 ‘Foolish’ 30th Anniversary Tour

American indie rock band Superchunk is set to return to Australia this December for the first time in 11 years. The band will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of their landmark 1994 album, Foolish.

In 2013, Superchunk toured Australia for the first time in 17 years, offering fans a free live album to celebrate their return.

Foolish album was released in April 1994 and produced by Brian Paulson, known for his work with Beck, Wilco, and Slint. The album was recorded at Steve Albini’s home studio and marked the first release through Merge Records.

The label was founded by Superchunk members Laura Ballance and Mac McCaughan in 1989. Despite Ballance and McCaughan’s breakup during its production, Foolish became one of Merge Records’ best-selling early releases.
