Tame Impala win J Awards

Tame Impala has taken out the 2010 J Awards with their album Innerspeaker

In the six years the J Awards have been around they’ve built a reputation for highlighting the best of the Australian music industry.

Past winners – chosen by Triple J heavy weight Richard Kingsmill and panel of industry names – have included Wolfmother, Hilltop Hoods, The Panics, The Presets and Sarah Blasko.

The psychedelic sounds of the W.A. band beat out an impressive field of nominees including Cloud Control, Sia, Washington, Birds of Tokyo, Bliss N Eso, Parkway Drive, M-Phazes, Bag Raiders and ARIA award winners Angus and Julia Stone.
