Hot off the heels of the announcement of a brand-new album, Fever In The Road, and a national tour, The Bamboos have again proven their worth in the form of lead single Avenger, with the funked up Melburnians letting it loose on an unsuspecting public today.
Avenger is a lo-fi, slinky little number that could almost be the lovechild of The Preatures and the latest stuff from Arctic Monkeys. It wouldn’t go astray on the dance floor some time after midnight and it’s a real nice indicator of what we can expect from their sixth full-length album, Fever In The Road, which the band have described as “genre-defying”.
Avenger is available digitally on iTunes now and although Fever In The Road is yet to be given a release date, you should expect to find it in your favourite record store before the year is out. You can catch The Bamboos in the flesh this November and December, with the national tour kicking off in Brisvegas on 29th November. Details below.
