It seems like Brisbane indie outfit The Cairos are fans of Breaking Bad and who can blame them, really? Not content with rehearsing in a farm shed, the nifty quartet have taken to a caravan for a cover of the theme song to the TV show that’s all about makin’ meth, complete with a video that pays homage to the series.
The clip sees the outfit don their hazmat suits and take to a caravan in the countryside, but instead of cooking the blue crystal, they’re making a sweet version of the Breaking Bad theme song. The Cairos’ interpretation on that distinctive riff is as heavy as Heisenberg‘s secret formula, so if you don’t know who they are we think your best course would be to tread lightly.
The Cairos have been busy recording their debut album, due for release in early 2014, as well as touring up a storm around the country promoting their latest single, Obsession. You can still catch them live over the next week in Western Australia and at Brisbane’s Valley Fiesta next weekend.
As part of ARIA Week, the boys will also be playing An Excuse To Get Loose with Andy Bull, Chance Waters and other special guests. Organised by Island Records Australia, this is a special music event that kicks off at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Tuesday, 26th November.
