Mongolian rock outfit The Hu are headed our way next year for their debut Australian tour, performing a pair of headline dates along with appearances at Download Festival 2020.
Ahead of all that, though, they’ve shared an updated version of their acclaimed single ‘Wolf Totem’ which sees Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix adding guest vocals into the mix.
The original single was part of the band’s debut album The Gereg, released earlier this year.
“I’m honored to be part of such a powerful new blend of rock n roll,” commented Shaddix about his guest spot.
“The Hu are the real deal. Don’t sleep on this.”
If you’re uninitiated, The Hu pull inspiration from the ancient Mongolian empire of the Hunnu. Their music is a mixture of Western heavy rock music staples like distorted guitars and frenetic rhythms combined with traditional Mongolian instrumentation such as the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) along with throat singing, all making for a very epic take on the genre.
