The Killers May Have Announced Next Single In Morse Code

Sin City’s own The Killers may have unveiled the name of their next single via their Facebook page, with the potential title enciphered in a passage of morse code. The news comes after it was revealed the band’s upcoming Greatest Hits album will feature three new songs.

The band posted an image depicting a collection of dashes and dots set against a stark, grey background on their Facebook page yesterday. Deciphered, the passage was revealed to read “The Killers Shot At The Night.” The post was made without any additional details, so it’s not yet clear if this will be the title of the next single or another project entirely.

Fans are buzzing with speculation that Shot At The Night may be the name of the band’s collaboration with M83 project-leader Anthony Gonzalez. In a recent NME interview, Gonzales spoke about working with the Las Vegas band, saying “Some of it is sounding really cool. We can be guilty of making things so ornate, and sometimes that’s a bad thing. So I always have conversations with Brandon about working from a smaller palate, simplifying things.

The band recently announced plans to mark the ten year anniversary of their first London show on 16th September, taking to Twitter to say “September 16th, the 10 year anniversary of our first show in London… #ShotAtTheNight.” The tweet has since been deleted.
