The Knife have been dividing audiences with their latest album, Shaking The Habitual, and its subsequent tour and now the Swedish electronic duo are giving you a little taster of what’s caused such a stir amongst their audiences, releasing a live video for the track Raging Lung.
The Shaking The Habitual shows have been described as more performance art than a typical gig, with Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer being joined on stage by a cast of dancing, writhing, gyrating characters in masks and cloaks. The live video is great for those of us who aren’t likely to catch the current European tour, although fingers crossed the siblings will be bringing their kooky live act to the southern hemisphere later in the year.
Raging Lung is the third single from Shaking The Habitual, which was released 7 years after its predecessor, Silent Shout. The Knife also recently released a short film called The Interview, in which they give fans a bit of a rundown on the thought processes and intentions behind their new direction.
