Party In the Apocalypse hosted its launch event just a few days before NYE 2021. Conceived by the folks behind the beloved and dearly missed Tassie festival, Party in the Paddock, PITA will stage its second event at the end of next month.
PITA is the urban offshoot of Party in the Paddock. The “Apocalypse” of its title is intended to denote a time of “fundamental change” rather than complete destruction.
Event organisers Vibestown are moving the action from Launceston to Hobart’s Cornelian Bay for PITA pt. 2. The lineup is another biggie: headliners include dance miscreants Peking Duk, Brisbane indie crew The Jungle Giants and electronic pop powerhouse Vera Blue.
Other lineup highlights include Western Sydney hip hop artist Kwame, inscrutable dance-punk duo Confidence Man, singer-songwriter Thelma Plum and ARIA-winning soul performer Budjerah. Check out the complete list of names below.
